Reformation of regional networks and selection of district focal organizations:
CIF has also been coordinating national and regional peace networks in collaboration with National Peace Campaign (NPC). The regional peace networks were formed through regional gathering at the end of the regional training programmes organized by NPC on conflict transformation and peacebuilding during 2006/07.
Recently, CIF has reformed five regional level networks through its regional Planning workshops held from 31 March to 5 June, 2009. These regional networks consist of 69 focal organizations from 69 districts. Each district has one focal organization. The focal organizations collectively work with other organizations working on the areas of peace and human rights at the district level. The district focal organizations work through existing civil society networks in the district. If such networks do not exist, they form civil society networks and work for promoting human rights and peace in their respective districts.
